Founded in 2014, the Public Health Nutrition program of Lebanon (PHENOL) at the faculty of public health-Lebanese university, combines many research areas in the fields of nutrition, social, and behavioral science to develop, implement and evaluate programs and policies that promote optimal nutrition and population health and well-being. As part of academic mission, this program provides graduate students theoretical and applied graduate course work in the field of public health nutrition. As research program, its mission is to provides researchers and students many research opportunities in public health nutrition, including program planning, implementation, evaluation of nutrition interventions and policy development.

Prof. Maha Hoteit

Professor Maha Hoteit is the Director of the Master Program in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition and the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics department at the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University. She was born in 1986 and she has a PhD in Nutritional Sciences-Nutrigenomics. Pr. Hoteit is the founder of the Public health Nutrition program of Lebanon (PHENOL) and her research interests lie in the area of public health nutrition, ranging from nutritional surveys, food composition data, clinical trials to policy implementation

Sarah Diab is a licensed Lebanese dietitian who joined the Lebanese University in 2021. Industriously, Sarah is currently finishing her M2 degree in Public Health and Clinical Nutrition. Aiming to enrich the knowledge of herself and others, Sarah’s futuristic plans include conducting research in the field of Lebanese food composition.
