Most of the work of our research focuses on the fight against micronutrient deficiencies, on the risk factors of non-communicable diseases, on foodstuffs and feeding the population throughout the life cycle. In particular by developing the entire arsenal to fortify foods with vitamins and minerals, by contributing to national nutritional surveys and by developing guides and manuals on nutrition and food. Also through the development of a national action plan for "the reduction of the consumption of sugar, salt and trans fatty acids". The type of research adopted by our research center is form of actions in adequacy with the international orientations in matters nutrition and food. These joints are made with the organisms national and international research and also with the Ministries of Health, of Agriculture and of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This association guarantees "useful" research in the service of regional and national needs, the orientation of which falls within the privileged axes of scientific policy of the opening of the University on its socio-economic environment, in the axes health, food and of national nutrition: National Nutrition Strategy and within the framework of international recommendations in matters of food and nutrition: a-Regional Nutrition Strategy, b-Recommendations of the Second International Conference on Nutrition, c- WHO global target, d-SDGs, e- Decade of United Nations actions for nutrition.

Prof Hassan AGUENAOU -Director of the Designated Regional Nutrition Center associated with AFRA / IAEA (Ibn Tofaïl- CNESTEN University) -President of the African Nutrition Leadership Program -Academician of the French Academy of Agriculture Tel: + 212-663756730 - Rabat-Kénitra, Morocco https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7137-1955 -University Professor (PES C), Specialist in Nutrition and Food (Ibn Tofaïl University, since 1990). He is laureate from the University Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg (Phd and Doctorate of State) -Currently he is Director of the Designated Regional Nutrition Center associated with the International Energy Agency Atomic (IAEA). This center's mission is to support all African countries for the assessment of national nutrition programs (Since 2012) by isotopic techniques.
